About this Single Origin Coffee

With generous levels of sweetness and mouthfeel, this Bourbon from the Kayanza region is exemplary of the perfectly balanced profile we know and love from Burundi.

Munkaze refers to the name of the river that runs through the valley in which this washing station and farm is located.

It is owned and run by Ephram Sebatigita, an iconic figure in Burundian coffee. He perpetuates a family tradition in coffee that started with his grandfather building the first washing station in Burundi in 1938.

Ephram now is a consultant, Q Processor and mentor in the industry recognised by his consistent presence in the top 10 finalist positions in Cup of Excellence.

This is our third year buying from Ephram after buying his Cup of Excellence lots the last two years.
